It was all about excitement and history etched as the Aliguma Foundation members graced the UEFA board meeting in Athens city, Greece.
The delegation to Greece was led by the CEO/Founder of the Aliguma Foundation M/s Ritah Aliguma.
"We had a successful board meeting where we shared our experiences and listened attentively to the works of UEFA" Aliguma spoke.
In a special way, the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin appreciated the works of the Aliguma foundation, encouraging different individuals to support such noble causes in community.
"The Aliguma Foundation has done amazing work to the impoverished communities of Uganda, helping homeless and poor children. This is good work that different individuals should support." Ceferin who has twice visited Uganda spoke.
During the same meeting, the UEFA General Secretary Urs Kluser officially retired with Carine Nkoue taking over the baton.
The 7-man delegation to Greece had a unique experience of watching live Olympiakos and Fiorentina in the Europa Conference league final at the OPAP Arena in Greece on the night of Wednesday, 29th May 2024.
The delegation had James Odongkara, 13, Janet Zenah Arach, 18, Ismail Mukoiko (Acholi quarters councillor), Christian Mirembe, a 10-year-old boy with special needs, Don Mirembe, 14, foundation administrator M/s Dorren Namuyinga and M/s Aliguma.
This historic visit is envisaged to open up more doors for the foundation works
