ABOUT S.R.E.P

Sports for Resilience and Empowerment Project (SREP) aims to transform vulnerable communities through sports; targeting girls, boys, women, other caregivers including refugees and those with disabilities, in The Acholi Quarters slums -Kampala City- Uganda. We plan to develop a sports facility equipped with basic training facilities, to enable 850 women and other caregivers to gain skills to start/manage their own businesses (to be able to take care of themselves and their families sustainably) .  We also plan to see over 2500 children (both boys and girls) protected from exploitation, and being able to go to school, and get married at the right time.

The operation and success of the Sports for Resilience and Empowerment Project (SREP) received a boost after the recent grant award to the Aliguma Foundation from the UEFA Children's Foundation.

The boost from the UEFA Children's Foundation will compliment the existing support from other Aliguma Foundation partners like UNHCR and WOPI Boston, in a bid to push the SREP endevour forward.
